Summer officially starts now.

I cannot believe its been a week since I finished my exams! Despite all this free time I've had, I've actually been really busy with various things.

I went to London on tuesday with the fammm.. and finally I got my macbook prooo! =)) Things seem to always break down quite conveniently for me.. although I have been eyeing for a mac for sometime, my desktop pc decided to run some stupid virus that completely corrupted the sound system. Soo.. I had to transfer everything into my mac.

The main reason for posting this is that to say I'll be leaving for Hong Kong in about 6 hours! I'm definitely looking forward to the shopping and food but er... not so much of the heat.. I heard it got up to nearly 40 degrees last week. Oh ma gaaad, I'm going to FRY! hahha

but first things first, I NEED a haircut!!

I can't guarantee I'll have internet when I go back, but if I do, I'll make sure to post up my daily adventures!

ALSO. OMG. I might even be going to South Korea/Taiwan/Shanghai.. but it all depends!! AHHH so excited!!

I've been listening to Kana Nishino's new album 'to LOVE' lately and I've officially decided that her song SUMMER GIRL ft. Minmi is my summer 2010 song!
I would find a youtube link to it.. but Japanese record labels are always so antsy about people posting artists' songs without their permission. So.. if you're lucky, go have a listen! or even better.. buy her album! =)) [or just download it... xP]

Hope you all have a good summer holiday! Anybody going anywhere exotic?! =))

I have made it! -- End of exams!

My last exam finally ended this morning at 10.41am!! Words cannot express just how relieved I feel!! I'm just happy to get my life back now! haha!

Finally time for some blogging which I haven't done is such a LONG TIME!! =))

After exams today, I went straight to Bluewater (shopping centre) for some major retail therapy. Although my main aim was to actually buy a macbook pro for uni, I didn't manage to get one in the end because I didn't bring the right acceptance letter to prove that I'm going to be a uni student! argghhh! that annoyed me! But I shall be heading back on Thursday! =)) Can't wait!

Honestly, I was too annoyed to spend so I didn't manage to buy that much.. what a "major" retail therapy that was! haha

But I'll still share what I got anyway since I have ALL the time in the world now! =))

Topshop recently launched their new make-up line, so I thought I'd have a browse and see what the hype was all about. Personally, I wasn't really drawn to any of the make-up.. they were all the typical mascaras, liners, blushes, nothing really stood out.. plus I thought the packaging was a bit naff.
BUT I did like the nail polishes! They have loads in a variety of colours, and I couldn't help but get the 2 above (excluding the base/top coat).

The ones I got are called "Gone Fishing" and "Bee's knees" . =))

*update: sorry I couldn't take a better photo.. but thats how 'gone fishing' looks like. =))

Also from Topshop.. I got this really nice patterned clutch bag which was on sale from £35 to £20! Bargain if you ask me! =)) so obviously I couldn't resist, and since my Ball is tomorrow, I thought this went well with my cream outfit.. !

So I'm afraid that concludes my "big" spend of the day.. really not much at all. But now I have loads of time.. I'm going to blog more regularly! =)) Happy times indeeeed!

Quick Note

Ahh, sorry I haven't been blogging lately!
Exams and revision have taken over my life for the past month.. and I really cannot wait till it all finishes on the 29th June! I've been living like a hermit and I'm in dyer need of fresh air.! T_T

BUT I WILL BE BACKK. I haven't abandoned this blog .. just yet..! =))

Hope everyone is enjoying the world cup.. I watched the match between South Korea vs Greece earlier. EPICC! hahha. I'm not the biggest fan of football, but South Korea makes it all worthwhile. xD

ENGLAND vs. USA next! -- now that will be interesting.. muahah!

02 - Music.File ♪: MAY

I'm sure all you K-POP lovers out there know that May is the month of comebacks from various artists including Wonder Girls, Super Junior, MBLAQ, f(x), C.N Blue, Seo In Young and the list goes onnnn!

Instead of writing about the well known groups, I'm going to shine some light on 2 particular comebacks that I'm glad are back in the music scene. =))

8eight - The Bridge (EP)
8eight is a power ballad trio who won their rise to fame through a singing programme called Show Survival (쇼 서바이벌) -- a Korean equivalent to Pop Idol. Although, they aren't your typical Korean idols, they are incredibly talented and produce the most heart-wrenching songs.
Check out 이별이 온다 The Approaching Goodbye with Nichkun (2PM) as the lead in the MV! ;)

Davichi - Innocence
I have been a HUGE fan of Davichi since their release of their first album AMARANTH back in 2008 and having disappeared for over a year after promoting Davichi in Wonderland, I was incredibly excited when they released their mini-album Innocence! Similar to 8282, their song 시간아 멈춰라 (Time Please Stop) combines punk rock with ballad wheresa 8282 combines dance and ballad. And ofcourse Davichi makes it work-- Its always interesting when songs have that twist! =))

Coincidently, both are ballad groups! I think ballad groups get overshadowed by major K-Pop groups. They need more recognition in my opinion!

Just sidetracking a bit.. has anyone seen MBLAQ's teaser? OMG. LEE JOON. I've completely fallen head over heels for this guy.. why is he so hot!? -- sorry, fangirl moment there!
I'm so psyched about MBLAQ's comeback! Catchy song + Hot teaser -- looks promising! xP

Ulzzang: Lee Chung

Oh Its been a while again since I blogged!
I recently noticed that I've actually gained some followers! I wasn't really expecting anyone to follow me, but I'd like to say thanks and a big fat HELLO to those who have!!  =)) I'll try and post interesting things more frequently! xP
__________________________________________

Since I haven't done a ulzzang post for quite a while.. I thought I'll do one on Lee Chung-- a male ulzzang.

Lee Chung strikes me as a chic-bad boy type of guy. Bad because of his massive tattoo and his cig-in-hand photos yet chic because he can pull off these "bad" aspects and make it look cool and stylish at the same time.
Despite that, he still retains the generic ulzzang look with his milky white skin, slender physique, small lips and defined facial features--even for a guy, I'm jealous!!
And the same goes for most ulzzangs, Lee Chung models for an online clothes store company called  MUJI

I'm now dedicating a monthly post Music.File ♪ on music that I've been listening to in that month. It won't necessarily be on Kpop, but a mixture of other genres that I've felt like listening to. xP

Taeyang - Wedding Dress [Robotaki Remix]

After School - Bang! [REXROWDEE Remix]

Panasonic Heated Curlers, Dolly Wink and the most amazing Straighteners.

I don't really shop on ebay, nor browse on it often, however I have recently managed to create an account on there despite my reluctance. The reason why I did so was because I finally found a reasonably priced Panasonic Heated Eyelash curler which I have been eyeing for months!

I don't know why they don't sell it in the UK, even if they do, they are so ridiculously expensive!! The ones I found on ebay are from the US, and it was only $9.95 (£6.64) + shipping $9.46 (£6.61) which came to a total of $19.41 (£13.25). Personally I think they are pretty reasonable considering on Amazon, they're like £20 excluding shipping!

Some other stuff that I've been eyeing on

These products are mainly promoted by the gorgeous ex-Popteen model Tsubasa Masuwaka.

The Dolly Wink line is produced by Tsubasa Masuwaka under the company Koji. It consists of a collection of false eyelashes and eyeliners which are all selling like hot cakes in Asia!

I don't normally wear false lashes on a day-to-day basis, but I think some of these are mega cute and can come off as quite natural!

Dollywink Liquid Eyeliner

This is the product I'm most keen to get. I've seen/heard a lot of great reviews for this liquid eyeliner so I'm intrigued to see whether it lives up to its expectation!

Also in the line are brown/black pencil liners, eyelash fixer and a cute eyelash case! Although I'm not particularly interested in the eyelash case, they sure have won me over with their packaging! I'm a sucker for pretty things! xP

Moving away from the Dolly Wink line, I have found the most amazing straighteners!
Tsuyagla Perfect which are wireless straighteners that comes in 3 different colours!!

Straighteners that can be used outdoors as well as create the perfect curls/waves!? Su-goi! The Japanese sure does come up with the most amazing things! xP
Since my pair of Remington straighteners snapped the other day.. it makes me want it more! T_T! haii

Check out the CF for these babies below!

So I guess this concludes my wish-list! xD
